Blueberry Banana Spirulina Smoothie

Toujis Blueberry Banana Spirulina SmoothieSpirulina is an amazing addition to smoothies. It boasts so many nutritional benefits for your body–lowering cholesterol, boosting the immune system, and supporting digestion. It is a readily digestible protein and is rich in iron, B vitamins, Vitamins C, D, & E, selenium and other trace minerals. Balancing the intense flavor of spirulina with creamy banana and blueberries is fresh, lightly sweet and delicious. A perfect way to start the day.

Serves 1-2

Ingredients

2/3 c. frozen blueberries (if using fresh blueberries, add 3 ice cubes to smoothie)
1 ripe banana
1 1/2 t. spirulina
2/3 c. unsweetened coconut milk or nut milk
1 T. hemp heart
1 T. chia seeds

Directions

Place all ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy. Add more milk or a bit of water to get desired consistency. Enjoy!
