Wellbeing Narrative Perennial Meal Super Salad Alejandro Junger Clean Program cleanse

“The meal that I most commonly prepare for myself and my family is what I call a ‘super salad’.  I don’t have a fixed recipe for it.  Rather, I work with what I have available at the time of preparation.  I mix every single veggie that I have in my fridge.  All kinds  of greens (butter lettuce, romaine, arugula, spinach, kale, sprouts), plus cucumbers, avocado, tomatoes, broccoli and grated carrots.  Then I dress it with olive oil, lemon, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, nutritional yeast and spirulina.”

Dr. Junger’s Super Salad*

Salad

  • greens  (butter lettuce, romaine, arugula, spinach, kale, sprouts…)
  • cucumbers
  • avocado
  • tomatoes
  • broccoli
  • carrots

Dressing

  • olive oil
  • lemon
  • apple cider vinegar
  • sea salt
  • nutritional yeast
  • spirulina

Dr. Alejandro Junger is a cardiologist and cleanse specialist, founder of the CLEAN Program and author of the New York Times best-selling book, CLEAN: The Revolutionary Program to Restore the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal Itself.  CLEAN is the result of Dr. Junger’s  search for alternative solutions to health problems he developed after moving from Uruguay to New York City.  The book explains the importance of detoxification and cleansing to restore the body and maintain optimal health.  The CLEAN Program currently has over 42,000 registered members worldwide.  Dr. Junger and the CLEAN Program have been featured in Vogue, People, Us Weekly, and Outside magazines as well as the Huffington Post, Martha Stewart Show, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP.
